    Key Roles:

    • CAM Programming: Programming of CNC machinery using CAM softwares: RhinoCAM and Powermill & Omax

    • 3D modeling and 2D drawing using CAD softwares (Rhino + Solidworks)

    • Ability to accurately sketch ideas & designs, before & during project

    • CNC Operator: Maintain, setup and operate the following equipment: CNC Mill, CNC Router, CNC Laser, CNC Water Jet, 6-axis Robotic Arm

    • Fabrication: Use of various manual shop tools including table saw, band saw, grinders, and basic shop hand tools

    Responsibilities

    (General)

    • Hold client information securely and only internally

    • Working from engineering blueprints, machines parts to very close tolerances and specified finishes 

    • Proficient with CAD software. (Create 3D models/2D drawings, dimension, title block, organize files) 

    • Creating CAD from scratch when given ideas by client

    • Understand feeds and speeds for metals, plastics, foams, wood and other common or uncommon materials

    • Organize project phases

    • knowledge on basics of construction, building materials, and their methods

    • Set-up and operates various CNC mills and lathes insuring machine cycle times and tool life is optimized

    • Must be able to adjust offsets on the machine and change inserts and tools as needed 

    • Inspect and approve your own machined parts and conduct Statistical Process Control as required 

    • Check and verify machine maintenance has been done on equipment - routine

    • When required, edit programs to machine special parts and tools 

    • Must be able to tear down set-ups and prepare tooling for the next job prior to finishing the current job. For example, should be preparing the next set-up while the machine is in cycle time. 

    • Continuously improve machine set-up times and switch overs.

     

    Skills and Experience::

    • High School graduate or equivalent 
    • 3+ yrs Strong and coherent understanding on CAM Programs 
    • 3+ yrs CAD
    • 3+ years of successful experience operating various CNC machines
    • Strong math skills 
    • Must be thoroughly knowledgeable of machining codes
    • Must have knowledge of metallurgy and various raw materials including plastics 
    • Ability to read and interpret blueprints 
    • Ability to use Micrometers, Calipers, Height gage and all other precision measuring equipment 
    • Ability to pass programming codes competence test

     

    Physical Demand

     • Moderate lifting required, 200 lbs

    • Work Environment 

    • Requires PPE including eye protection and proper attire

    Details:

    Full Time Employment (after 90-day probationary review period)

    $22-$35 (Rate based on experience)

    Performance review (after 6 months)
