Position Summary

This is a hybrid-only position, generally Tuesday through Thursday, in one of the following offices: WOONSOCKET, RHODE ISLAND; BUFFALO GROVE, ILLINOIS; SCOTTSDALE, ARIZONA; RICHARDSON, TEXAS; BOSTON, MASSACHUSETTS; NEW YORK, NEW YORK. It is suggested that you apply only if you live within 50 miles of these locations. There will be no housing or housing stipend, but interns will have an opportunity to connect with others to coordinate housing if desired. The hourly rate is $23, non-negotiable.

The Digital Engineering Accelerator Program Internship is a 10-week full-time opportunity that provides real work experience with a team in your business area. You will be aligned to projects to lead or contribute to while also participating in networking, development, and career exploration activities. Our Corporate Interns can apply for future full-time roles during the program and have an increased likelihood to receive an offer for a post-graduation role.

The 2024 Digital Engineering Accelerator Program Summer Internship will be held, June 3 – August 9, 2024. Virtual onboarding activities will also take place May 29 – May 31, 2024.

This is a hybrid position with 3 days (generally, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday), in one of the following office locations based on your preference: Scottsdale, AZ, Richardson, TX, New York, NY, Buffalo Grove, IL, Boston, MA, and Woonsocket, RI. The other 2 days each week will be working remotely from home, office, or another location of your choice. No housing or housing stipend will be provided, but interns will be provided with an opportunity to connect with each other prior to the start of the program to coordinate housing if desired.

The hourly rate is $23.00 per hour with 40 hours/week, no work on July 4 (company holiday), and two days of paid leave.

The Digital Engineering Accelerator Program Internship is an opportunity for passionate, driven rising undergraduate college seniors who would like to gain rich experiences in digital technology production by joining a high-energy and growing team to make a difference in customers’ lives and who want to be on the ground floor of digital innovation that aims to reinvent what a health care company can be.

The Digital Engineering Accelerator Internship participants will have exposure to various areas of digital production represented by different functions in the organization. Potential intern placement opportunities in Digital functional areas (assigned based on business need and intern interests and previous experiences) include backend service development, web development, mobile app development, platform engineering, security engineering, and site-reliability engineering (SRE)/TechOps.

Work visa sponsorship is not available for this role. This includes participation in Curricular Practical Training (CPT), Optional Practical Training (OPT), and F-1 Visa programs.

Required Qualifications

• Meet educational requirements (see education section)
• Outstanding interpersonal skills and ability to develop relationships across diverse teams
• Strong research, analytical, written communication, and oral presentation skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Demonstrated leadership experience. Examples include active roles in student or social organization activities, sports, or school or work-related projects
• Prior internship, co-op, or project experience in relevant areas (healthcare, IT, digital, software)
• Experience in Software Development, Security Engineering or Platform Engineering with one or more programming languages: Java, SQL, React/Redux, Angular, Amber, JavaScript, jQuery, Node JS, Kotlin, Swift, Objective-C, C, C++, HTML5, CSS, Bootstrap.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• An interest in obtaining full-time position within CVS Health upon graduation

Education

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree
• Have an anticipated graduation date between September 2024 and August 2025
• Have a major, minor or concentration relevant to the position such as Computer Science, Digital technology, Information Technology, etc.

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography, and other relevant factors.

This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission, or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
