Systems Test Engineer

(Hardware/Software)

DFT is looking for a Systems Test Engineer to join its Seraphim product team to support the development of its next generation sensor fusion, video processing, and situational awareness platform. The ideal candidate will be energized by a fast-paced work environment, excited by building complex systems, and motivated by having an immediate impact in a challenging environment.

Job Title: Systems Test Engineer

Matrix level: P2/P3

What you’ll do:

·        Own the quality and capability of DFT products through rigorous testing and evaluation

·        Support developers by identifying issues, articulating reproduction steps, and assisting in debug analysis  

·        Develop and follow test plans to ensure repeatability of test cases and scenarios

Required Qualifications:

·        3+ years testing integrated hardware/software systems in a Quality Assurance or similar test engineer role

·        Experience with bug tracking tools such as JIRA or Bugzilla

·        Experience or comfort in a rapid development environment taking features from Alpha to Production release in 2-4 week Sprints

Preferred Qualifications:

·        Bachelor’s degree in STEM discipline (Science, Technical, Engineering, Mathematics)

·        Familiarity with video and camera technologies such as streaming protocols, encoding standards, etc.

·        Familiarity with basic computer networking constructs such as TCP/UDP, WAN/LAN, etc.

·        Understanding technologies such as SQL or NoSQL databases, pub/sub messaging systems (Kafka, AMQP, MQTT, ZeroMQ, etc)

·        Comfort in a Linux environment

Special Requirements:

• Willingness and ability to obtain a security clearance for which the government requires U.S. Citizenship. 
• Willing to travel up to 25%
