Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP is a leading international law firm with more than 900 lawyers in offices throughout the United States, Europe, Asia and the Middle East. We are currently seeking a Digital Marketing Coordinator ("Coordinator") in our Marketing department, reporting directly to the Marketing Project Manager.

The position will be remote but must be located in California or Texas. The Coordinator will be responsible for creating, managing and executing Akin’s email marketing campaigns – including thought leadership, firm-wide announcements and event-related email campaigns, to name a few. The Coordinator will use their knowledge of email distribution and marketing automation platforms, as well as CRM, to facilitate successful campaigns and work closely with our event marketing and business development colleagues.

Additionally, the Coordinator will support Akin through a digital transformation initiative to the Salesforce and Marketo CRM and email platforms. They will support the adoption project as well as be one of its first users. They will also provide additional support for tasks related to Akin’s public marketing channels including website and biography updates, reporting and analytics, and social media management.

This is an execution-heavy role and requires a high level of technical expertise, project management and strong attention to detail. The incumbent in this position is expected to perform all responsibilities with a commitment to providing superior service to the firm’s attorneys, advisors and staff, and maintain an atmosphere of teamwork and continuous improvement. The Coordinator must also have a strong Internet connection as this is a remote position. Above all, the incumbent must fulfill the needs of the firm in a manner which is consistent with the Akin’s Core Values.

Key responsibilities of this position include:

• Create, manage and execute email campaigns end-to-end.
• Add/manage content to Akin’s website where it supports email campaigns.
• Test and QA email campaigns and follow team processes for how to manage email campaigns from start to finish.
• Work with CRM, event marketing and business development teams to ensure appropriate campaign set ups, configurations and uses cases are met.
• Propose automated email workflows and drip campaigns, where necessary.
• Regularly review email performance and conduct an analysis on email programs.
• Stay current on product updates and best practices with email distribution and automation platforms.

Qualifications (Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities):

• Bachelor's Degree required, preferably in Marketing, Communications, Computer Sciences or Engineering.
• 2+ years of email marketing experience.
• Experience in the Marketo email and marketing automation tool.
• Experience in the Salesforce CRM platform.
• Experience adding/managing content on websites.
• Experience producing and interpreting marketing analytics.
• HTML knowledge.
• Strong Internet connection.
• Experience working in fast-paced environments.
• Have an understanding of law firms or professional service environments.

The anticipated base salary range for this position in California is $80,000 - $90,000. The actual salary offered will be based on several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, years of relevant experience, certifications or other professional licenses held, job-related knowledge and skills, business needs, and the location from which the work will be performed. Additionally, salary or hourly wages may be only part of the total compensation package, which may also include a full range of health and other insurance benefits, financial and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility), a discretionary bonus, and various paid time off benefits.
