This is a full-time position with an alternative workweek schedule (4 days/week, 10 hours/day) working out of Grass Valley and the surrounding areas. We are willing to consider applicants who may be interested in relocating to the Grass Valley area. To qualify as a relocation candidate, you must be able to reasonably commute to Grass Valley, CA or Chico, CA, or be willing to stay in temporary lodging (such as Hotel) in Grass Valley or Chico during your work week. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: TREE CLIMBER

• Identification of trees that are safe to climb
• Climbing up to 3 – 4 trees per day
• Mounting small antennas in trees
• Running and securing cabling from the antenna to customers premises
• Assist with the remainder of the customer installations as necessary
• Tower climbing on a limited, as necessary basis
• Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS: TREE CLIMBER

• Proven experience in tree climbing
• High school diploma or the equivalent
• Ability to present a professional appearance, positive attitude, and strong work ethic
• Must work well with others
• Ability to operate a vehicle with a manual transmission
• A valid driver's license with no more than 1 point on your record and no DUI's.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: TREE CLIMBER

• Able to lift up to 55 lbs. from ground level to above head level
• Able to bend, stoop and kneel for 25-35 minutes at a time
• Able to climb at least 3-4 trees daily
• Able to climb and work on towers up to 300 ft., with fall protection
• NO FEAR OF HEIGHTS

Base pay is based on experience. We are willing to have an open dialogue about pay rate. All job offers are contingent upon applicant passing a post-offer, pre-employment background check, driving record review, arduous physical, and comprehensive drug/alcohol screening.

All tools required to do the job will be provided, including Cell phone, laptop, credit cards, hand tools, safety gear, and rain/cold-weather gear. Applicants may use their own preferred climbing gear if approved by the supervisor and passes inspection prior to use.
