    JOB SUMMARY:

    We are opening a new part-time position for a skilled Administrative Assistant. If you have the qualifying combination of skills and experience, we're looking for, we want to hear from you!

    The Administrative Assistant will be responsible for day-to-day clerical/administrative functions including, filing, mail management, data input and management, and spreadsheet maintenance while providing support to the Accounting Department. The Administrative Assistant reports directly to the Accounting Manager.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES OF THE ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT INCLUDE, BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

    • Filing documents and processing paperwork as assigned
    • Mail management, processing, and disbursement
    • Retrieves information as requested from records, email, and other related documents; prepares written summaries of data when needed
    • Conducts research as assigned, summarizing findings and data into reports
    • Input customer deposits into database and create daily deposits
    • Responds to and resolves administrative inquiries and questions
    • Maintain company/vendor W9 database
    • Run errands when needed
    • Other duties as assigned

    REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

    • Organized, self-motivated, and productive
    • Ability to recognize and prioritize workload with minimal supervision
    • Able to provide a consistently positive internal customer service experience
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills with high level of accuracy and consistency.
    • Has knowledge of and experience in general office administration, clerical procedures, and various office equipment (i.e., postage machine, copier/scanner/fax machine, etc.)
    • Valid California Driver's License with no more than 1 point and no DUI's, and be licensed for more than 5 years (for our insurance)

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

    • Intermediate to advanced skills with Microsoft Office, Excel, and Outlook
    • Minimum 2 years of administrative experience required (preferable accounting background)

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

    • Repetitive motions including manual writing and keyboarding
    • Sitting for extended periods of time
    • Using your hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls
    • Must be able to occasionally lift and carry up to 50 lbs.

    ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT COMPENSATION:

    This is a part-time non-exempt position working Monday - Friday  at our Chico, CA headquarters. Starting pay range is $19 to $21 per hour with higher depending on experience. All job offers are contingent upon applicant passing a post-offer pre-employment background check, physical, and drug/alcohol screening.
