We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Digital Print Operator to join our production team. This position is responsible for operating digital production printers and finishing equipment to produce high-quality printed materials including business cards, brochures, booklets, postcards, flyers, manuals, labels, and marketing materials. The ideal candidate is organized, quality-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced print production environment with tight deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
Operate digital production printers and copiers for short-run and on-demand printing
Set up and monitor print jobs to ensure quality, accuracy, and efficiency
Perform basic file preparation and verify artwork before printing
Conduct color checks and quality control throughout production
Operate finishing equipment including cutters, folders, booklet makers, drills, laminators, and bindery equipment
Read and follow work orders, job tickets, and production schedules
Maintain consistent output quality and meet production deadlines
Troubleshoot printer jams, image quality issues, and minor equipment problems
Perform routine maintenance and cleaning on production equipment
Maintain inventory of paper stocks, toner, and finishing supplies
Package completed jobs accurately for pickup or shipment
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized production area
Qualifications
Previous digital print production experience preferred
Familiarity with production printers such as Konica Minolta, Xerox, Canon, Ricoh, or Fiery-driven equipment preferred
Basic understanding of print production workflows and color management
Ability to multitask and prioritize multiple jobs simultaneously
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Comfortable working in a deadline-driven environment
Basic computer skills and ability to work with digital files
Ability to lift paper boxes and materials up to 50 pounds
Preferred Skills
Experience with Fiery Command WorkStation or other RIP/workflow software
Knowledge of Adobe Acrobat and basic Adobe Creative Suite functions
Experience with booklet making, folding, cutting, scoring, and bindery operations
Understanding of paper stocks, grain direction, finishing techniques, and print specifications
Experience in a commercial print shop or in-plant production environment
Work Environment
Fast-paced production and print shop environment
Standing for extended periods during production runs
Frequent interaction with production equipment and paper handling
