    Job Description

    MS NOW is looking for an experienced Digital Producer for Deadline: White House airing weekdays 4pm-6pm.

    This position is represented by the Writers Guild of America East.

    Responsibilities:

    • Produce, develop, create, and edit social media content, including text, photo, and video for multiple platforms
    • Work as editor with host and senior producers to develop and refine editorial tone and voice
    • Identify newsy and compelling moments from the broadcast to rapidly share on social media platforms (vertical videos)
    • Create, produce, and edit shareable original video content (not from air)
    • Identify segments to post on YouTube and MS NOW site
    • Produce headlines, thumbnails, and descriptions for YouTube videos
    • React fast to breaking news by clipping videos for all platforms
    • Produce graphics and carousels for Instagram and TikTok Produce photo carousels for Instagram and TikTok
    • Spark engagement with the MS NOW and Deadline: White House community Partner and collaborate with digital leaders for promotional content
    • Collaborate across teams on special events, interviews, and special rollouts
    • Edit content from the show to be repackaged for off-network/social platforms/OTT Manage all social distribution
    • Research, write articles, and blog posts as needed.
    • Implement innovate ideas to grow social audience and the show brand
    • Ability to work calmly under pressure and meet deadlines
    • Produce and manage the show podcast
    • Deliver digital content to sponsor page
    • Comply with the Standards and Practices of MS NOW

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
    • Minimum 5 years of social media producing and editing
    • Minimum 2 years of experience in writing
    • Ability to work well both independently (must be a self-starter) and collaboratively as part of an integrated team
    • Strong follow-through and attention to detail
    • Expert editor with Adobe Premiere Proficiency with YouTube Studio for posting videos to the platform and analyzing performance data
    • Experience in publishing content from CMS to social platforms, website, YouTube (experience with WildMoka a bonus)
    • Strong knowledge of all social media platforms, their audiences, and social media trends
    • Experience in producing content for YouTube with best practices for headlines, thumbnails, and descriptions
    • Experience in shooting video, editing, and producing in a compelling creative way
    • Proficiency with all social platforms in-app editing tools
    • Experience in turning breaking news vertical content for social platforms Proficiency with Figma, Adobe Photoshop, Canva
    • Understanding of digital gear (camera operations, microphones)
    • Deep knowledge of politics

    Desired Qualifications:

    • Possess ability to develop story ideas, research, and plan segments
    • Wide-range reader of news, including op-eds Proficient in both tape and desktop editing

    Additional Job Requirements:

    • Must be willing to work in New York, NY
    • Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
    • Schedule is Monday through Friday
    • Must be willing and able to work flexible hours, under tight deadline pressure, including breaking news
    • This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week

    Salary range: $93,000 - $110,000.
