Full Stack Developer

We are looking for an enthusiastic, dedicated full stack software developer who wants to improve his or her technical skills and join a team that is leading new innovation.
HOW WE DEVELOP
- Highly collaborative team approach – swarming, peer/pair programming with screen sharing for remote developers, code reviews, bug bashes
- Clear requirements, documentation, and testing – no “throwing things over the wall”
- Balanced between agile, meeting deadlines and rapid iteration based on customer feedback
- Develop code that is “done, done” not half-baked
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 5 + years - Node.js
- 3 + years - Linux
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field
- Manage/mentor junior level developers and testers
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience with Mongo and MySQL
- Some hands-on experience with orchestration tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, Terraform
- Some hands-on experience with Vault, Bitbucket, Aqua
- Client: React
- Understanding or experience in cloud provider technologies: AWS, Azure, GCP, Oracle
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Own, architect, and develop full-stack development requirements.
- Contribute to the definition, development, integration, test, documentation, and support of software applications.
- Work in a data driven environment, drive process improvement.
- Work with the stakeholders to translate high-level, ambiguous business goals to working innovative software solutions.
- Contribute towards the software development as well as the architecture of software solutions.
- Ensure scalability, availability for services.
- Implement best secure and compliant coding practices.
- Own, troubleshoot & resolve code defects.
- Implement best practices for software development and documentation, committing and deploying code achieving design requirements.
- Implement test driven unit and end to end testing of any code you develop.
- Prepare technical requirements and software design specifications.
- Deliver high quality work under tight deadlines.

- Must be able to work in a hectic, startup environment. If you’re looking for a straightforward 9AM-5PM job, this is NOT the role for you.
- Collaborative mindset – must be able to share screen, work well with others, be available for impromptu meetings.
- Understand and value business requirements and customer feedback.

- Be prepared to provide up to 3 recent references and submit to a background check.
- LOCATION - Greater Sacramento or Truckee, CA and/or Reno, NV; this is a remote role until the end of 2021 with the possibility of partially remote, partially in-office in 2022.
