Job Description

Digital Strata is looking for a React developer. You enjoy writing elegant code, prefer working in an iterative development environment, and are open to feedback from other team members. You also aren’t afraid to speak up and give feedback when it’s warranted. Be prepared to hit the ground running: we have an existing project built in Laravel on the backend and React on the frontend, and it has your name all over it. We design, build, and maintain information management systems in use by the federal government, corporations, and law firms. We are a small team who values collaboration, and a willingness to sometimes write messy code if it means meeting a deadline – as long as we can refactor it later. Our work environment is casual (95% remote!), but we are always professional.

Responsibilities

• Design – you will work directly clients to interpret their needs and offer solutions
• Develop – take the client requirements and turn them into code
• Deploy – each project has a development environment for pre-launch testing
• Document – no need to write a novel, as long as everyone can follow your code

Requirements

• Fluency with React/Redux
• Competency with PHP 7
• Competency with Git Version Control
• Competency with HTML, Javascript, CSS
• Competency with SQL (MySQL preferred)
• Familiarity with React Hooks
• Familiarity with MVC frameworks (Laravel preferred)
• Familiarity with basic UX design

Nice to Haves

• AWS (or similar cloud computing platform) experience
• Ubuntu Linux experience
• Bootstrap experience
• Unit testing experience
