    We are seeking a Content Marketing Strategist to join our growing team. Our ideal candidate has a combination of analytical and strategic thinking skills – able to gather and translate key business and user insights into thoughtful, long-term content strategies – and is a highly creative idea generator and problem-solver – able to envision how an organization’s content can meet users’ needs in unexpected and shareable ways, going beyond text-based articles into a variety of formats and creative concepts.

    Their excellent communication and organizational skills make them good with clients and good with timelines and budgets. A firm understanding of user experience and strong search engine optimization (SEO) and search engine marketing (SEM) skills is a must.

    CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Oversight for content strategy deliverables such as digital ecosystem content audits, taxonomy, and content model.
    • Collaborates with other disciplines to provide thought leadership on content strategy and evaluate how audience needs / business objectives align in a future state site experience for our client.
    • Collaborates with clients to frame content strategy needs and opportunities to address their multi-audience needs and consult on options regarding digital strategy with many interrelated site experiences.
    • Facilitates analysis & synthesis of stakeholder interviews, user research findings, translation of consumer insights and business objectives into content strategy recommendations.
    • Cross-disciplinary idea generation and client co-creation sessions, including creating and facilitating content workshops.
    • Leads estimation, scoping & project planning with content strategy deck.
    • Develop content marketing strategies and plans to meet client business objectives and customer/end-user needs across a variety of digital channels and a broad array of both B2C and B2B clients.
    • Conduct content audits (qualitative and quantitative analyses of all the content on a network of sites and social media accounts) and develop and present strategic recommendations to colleagues and client teams.
    • Conduct competitive intelligence analyses to support the audit, content strategy and recommendations.
    • Create and maintain standardized content audit, strategy, calendar and other common deliverables in formats that can be used repeatedly to ensure consistency across clients.
    • Collaborate with account and creative teams, and in some cases freelancers, to concept and produce impactful content that is on-strategy and within approved budgets.
    • Write, edit and produce content as needed to deliver on time and with excellence.
    • When needed, delegate content production to writers, producers and designers and provide thoughtful feedback to ensure maximum impact on marketing objectives.
    • Monitor content performance and provide actionable analysis and optimization recommendations.
    • Cultivate respecting and trusting relationships with clients and fellow team members.
    • Provide input on content marketing strategy, including opportunities on emerging platforms, for new business pitches and client deliverables.

    ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

    • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, advertising, journalism, or related field.
    • Minimum of 5-7 years in digital and content marketing, with advanced knowledge of content marketing strategy.
    • Demonstrated success planning, implementing and reporting on full-funnel, objective-based content marketing campaigns that delivered real business value.
    • Sound knowledge of content management systems, keyword research tools, social media platforms, search engine optimization (SEO), and search engine marketing (SEM).
