    DigitalFish has an imminent need for a SHOTGUN WORKFLOW ARCHITECT with a deep knowledge of Shotgun workflows and implementation within the feature film, visual effects and animation industries.  

    In this role, you will analyze our client's existing Shotgun pipeline and the current backlog of wants and needs, and recommend an approach to improve efficiency and integration across multiple visual effects and animation companies for one of the world's premiere studios.

    This position requires a keen understanding of Shotgun's capabilities, best practices, and the depth to which Shotgun can be configured in the tracking and review of digital media and assets in feature films, television series and commercials.  If you have the passion for solving this sort of challenge for some of the industries most anticipated films and series, then this role is for you!

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Represent DigitalFish as a trusted expert with visibility and exposure across multiple companies
    • Architect a workflow responding to, and improving upon, the needs expressed by the overarching studio and its sub-studios
    • Create and maintain templates within Shotgun for the various production entities and their metadata
    • Design and document a Shotgun end-to-end workflow to be handed off to multiple studios
    • Design sample views for various stakeholders accessing the data, eg Executives and Producers, as well as artists and engineers
    • Set up clear and secure permission structure for multiple stakeholders
    • Develop an implementation plan for those workflows including schedule and resources, testing plan, and deployment
    • Lead the implementation project using Agile practices
    • Help establish standard Shotgun setup and best practices that scales across multiple studios

    JOB REQUIREMENTS

    • Minimum 8+ years of professional feature film and/or television series production experience designing and implementing production management workflows within multiple visual effects and/or animation companies  
    • Deep understanding of visual effects and animation tracking of live action plates and elements, digital assets, shots, and sequences
    • Ability to listen and synthesize the information provided by the overall studio and sub-companies
    • Anticipate and mitigate against implementation and rollout challenges
    • Strong documentation skills laying out end-to-end Shotgun pipelines with implementation methodologies
    • Deep understanding of interrelationship of Shotgun with other software packages such as CineSync, SyncSketch, RV, major DCC tools, and editorial tools
    • Experience with Shotgun's Python API strongly preferred

    LOCATION

    Your primary work will be virtual due to COVID-19 restrictions and will stay remote once COVID-19 restrictions lift.  As conditions improve, some travel to actual studios may be required.
