    Job Description

    Creative Strategist OPTION TO BASE IN BOSTON OR CHICAGO OFFICES.

    We’re searching for a Creative Strategist who can undercover breakthrough customer insights and inspire impactful cross-channel marketing programs. You’ll drive the application of insight into the brief development process and beyond as a guide in the creation of business-driving ideas and their execution. You’ll help design seamlessly connected campaigns to ensure that all work makes up an experience that moves people. 

    Tasks and responsibilities include: 

    • Develop actionable insights from a wide variety of data sources: analysis of client data, primary and secondary research, media data 

    • Bring creativity and intelligence levels of the office up by providing inspiration around trends, customer insights, emerging tech and thought leadership 

    • Write and contribute to creative briefs and briefings 

    • Be a key point of contact and/or act as internal research team – request and share information in relevant ways 

    • Develop market overviews, competitive analysis and target profiles 

    • Push the boundaries of innovation of our agency model and client’s business by keeping abreast of the latest trends (technology, media and social) that are affecting and evolving human behavior 

    • Serve as the connective tissue for innovation and insights with other Digitas offices 

    • Optimize impact of customer insight in the creative program development process by partnering with creative 

    • Partner actively with strategy teams to maximize insight derived from analytics and key findings applied to the development of marketing programs 

    • Identify key insights from existing client/Digitas data and identify relevant marketing program implications 

    • Drive teamwork into every task

     

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    To qualify, you’ll need: 

    • Four-year degree (English/journalism, creative writing, marketing/communication strategy, anthropology, sociology, psychology or cultural studies preferred) 

    • 18 months -3 years of experience working in an agency strategic planning department, brand consultancy, consulting firm OR a Masters at an advertising school and one year of experience in the above 

    • Experience working with tactics across the full media landscape, especially digital; and for owned channels (.com and social) as much as paid media needs. 

    • Inspirational, compelling, fun personality - team fit is critical. 

    • Strong ability to brainstorm and participate in group thinking 

    • Understanding of both qualitative and quantitative research, and experience of reading and interpreting reports. 

    • Exceptional writing, communication and influence skills 

    • Ability to synthesize and see creative opportunity, with a passion for great work that helps leverage it. 

    • Candidate must be open to travel as needed, and occasional work demands that fall outside of traditional working day hours.
