    We are looking for a highly motivated Dimensional Engineer with proven PolyWorks experience to join our engineering team in the automotive industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing advanced dimensional analysis on components and assemblies to ensure compliance with design intent and manufacturing requirements. This role is critical in maintaining product quality, supporting launches, and driving continuous improvement across our manufacturing operations.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Utilize PolyWorks Inspector software to conduct dimensional inspections and create detailed reports for automotive parts, fixtures, and assemblies.
    • Interpret complex GD &T drawings in accordance with ASME Y14.5 and apply best practices in measurement strategy.
    • Perform root cause analysis for dimensional discrepancies, collaborating with Design, Manufacturing, and Quality teams to implement corrective actions.
    • Support PPAP , product launches, and tooling buy-offs through comprehensive dimensional evaluations.
    • Program and operate CMMs (Coordinate Measuring Machines), laser scanners, and 3D metrology equipment to gather accurate measurement data.
    • Develop and maintain standardized templates and automation macros in PolyWorks for consistency in reporting.
    • Lead dimensional reviews with internal stakeholders and present findings with data-driven insights.
    • Ensure compliance with customer and industry-specific quality standards (IATF 16949, ISO 9001, etc.).
    • Lead on-site calibration of metrology tools (calipers, mics, etc.)

    Required Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical field.
    • Minimum 3 years of dimensional engineering experience in the automotive industry
    • Proficient in PolyWorks Inspector , including macro development and report customization.
    • Strong knowledge of GD &T, 3D CAD software (CATIA, NX, etc.), and engineering drawing interpretation.
    • Experience with automotive quality processes including PPAP, APQP, and control plans.
    • Familiarity with CMM operation and 3D scanning technologies.
    • Gage Calibration experience
    • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Experience working directly with OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers.
    • Working knowledge of statistical analysis tools (SPC, MSA).
    • Exposure to Six Sigma or Lean methodologies.
