    Job Title: Procurement Manager

    Compensation: $95,000 - $115,000 annual salary with bonus potential

    Location: Corporate Office - Arcadia, California - Hybrid

    About Us: Din Tai Fung is a Chinese restaurant specializing in Xiao Long Bao, or steamed soup dumplings, each made by hand with our “Golden Ratio” of 18 folds.     About the Role: The Procurement Manager will pair strong organizational skills with a true appetite to source and execute strategic partnerships with raw material sources and manufacturers to foster long-term relationships to support a dramatically growing business. A successful Procurement Manager will demonstrate attention to detail, a dynamic personality, urgency, adaptability, critical thinking, and strong negotiating skills to drive long-term value propositions. This role will report to the Sr. Manager, Procurement.

    Job Responsibilities:

    Manages purchasing program for all categories including, food, paper/disposables, chemicals, beverages, small wares, and equipment

    Leads the procurement process, including supplier selection, contract negotiation, and performance management

    Collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless operations

    Implements cost-reduction strategies and improves procurement efficiency without compromising quality

    Manages inventory levels to ensure optimal stock while avoiding overstocking and waste

    Works towards sourcing sustainably, aiming for ethical and environmentally friendly procurement practices

    Collaborates with the Quality Assurance team to ensure that all procured items meet the required food safety and quality standards

    Negotiates, benchmarks, and conducts RFPs to secure competitive pricing

    Partners closely with internal manufacturing facilities to identify synergies and sourcing efficiencies

    Communicates, tracks, and summarizes product recalls/withdrawal

    Acts as a liaison between operations and Suppliers around quality and service issues

    Remains updated with industry trends, commodity changes, and sourcing best practices

    Helps manage price verification and audits to ensure selling prices to the stores are accurate

    Job Requirements:

    Bachelor’s degree required

    Minimum 3-5 years of Food Service experience in Purchasing, Distribution, or Supply Chain Management within the Food Service, restaurant or hospitality industry

    2-4 years of Managerial experience

    Talent in negotiations and networking

    Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication

    Ability to prioritize and plan effectively

    Alert to the needs of the organization, team members, and guests

    Must be able to work independently and/or as part of a team

    High energy with a positive, servant leadership attitude

    Unwavering commitment to our Mission and Values

    Project management experience, preferred

    Excellent decision-making and problem-solving skills

    Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines

    Strong leadership qualities

    Passion for the food and beverage industry

    Computer knowledge required (Google Suite)
