JOB PURPOSE:

The Director of Marketing and Communications leads the Marketing and Public Relations team in the development of marketing policies, campaigns, and strategies that align with the company’s brand identity and core values. The Director of Marketing and Communications is expected to act as the company’s representative during industry events and build relationships with media outlets to promote and maintain a positive image of the company, maximizing brand consistency in all advertising efforts.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Business or related field

At least five (5) years of relevant experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

Experience directing a Marketing and Public Relations team of a multi-unit restaurant group is required

Strong understanding of the “Din Tai Fung” company

Strong organizational skills and problem-solving skills

Able to make simple math calculations

Able to produce and work the following software:

Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Publisher, Power Point) required

Design software and technologies (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, etc.) preferred

Able to implement and work with new technologies

Proficiency with online marketing and social media strategy

Proficiency using website analytics tools: Google Analytics, etc.

Able to maintain the company’s social media platforms and marketing database: Instagram, Facebook, etc.

Has a keen eye for aesthetics and details

Strong supervisory and leadership skills

Strong communication and presentation skills

Strong presentation skills

Highly motivated and able to adapt to change

Able to write in a legible fashion simple correspondence

Pass the company’s background check qualifications

Ability to speak Chinese (Mandarin and/or Cantonese) is a plus but not a requirement
