About the Role:

Altum Care Homes in Southfield, MI is looking for a compassionate and dedicated Direct Care Professional to join our team. Responsibilities:

Provide hands-on personal care and assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, grooming, and dressing

Support residents with mobility, transfers, and ambulation as needed

Assist with meal preparation, feeding, and ensuring proper nutrition

Implement individualized care plans and document resident progress accurately

Administer medications as directed and in accordance with care guidelines

Foster a safe, supportive, and positive home environment for all residents

Communicate effectively with supervisors, family members, and healthcare professionals regarding resident well-being

Requirements:

High school diploma or GED required

Prior experience in direct care, personal care, or a related caregiving role preferred

CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)

Ability to pass a background check and drug screening

Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient, empathetic demeanor

Reliable, punctual, and committed to consistent attendance

Ability to lift, transfer, and assist residents with physical needs
