About the Role
As a Direct Care Provider, you will be a caregiver working directly with residents to provide personalized care, following support plans tailored to their needs. Your compassion and dedication will foster genuine relationships and positively impact their lives.
Key Responsibilities
Daily Living Assistance: Help residents with daily activities, such as moving in and out of beds, baths, wheelchairs, or automobiles.
Personal Care: Assist with hygiene tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
Household Support: Perform tasks such as changing bed linens, doing laundry, cleaning, and maintaining a safe and organized home environment.
Medication Support: Administer prescribed medications and immunizations following protocols.
Health Monitoring: Observe and document residents' health, conditions, and progress, and communicate any changes to supervisors.
Engagement and Inclusion: Encourage participation in exercises, social activities, and community inclusion.
Companionship: Build meaningful relationships through conversation or reading aloud to promote mental health and alertness.
What We’re Looking For
Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED.
Ability to read, write, and follow written and oral instructions.
At least one year of prior professional caregiver experience.
Ability to successfully complete required background checks and drug screening.
Current CPR certification.
Valid driver’s license.
Physical ability to lift, perform repetitive tasks, including standing, walking, bending, and kneeling for extended periods.
Preferred Skills:
Experience working with diverse patient needs.
Empathy, reliability, and strong communication skills.
Graduation from an accredited Home Health Aide program.
Experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Current CPR and First Aid certification.
Certification in Medication Administration.
