About the Role:

KSTAR INC is looking for a dedicated and compassionate Direct Care Staff member to join our team in Kerrville, TX! This overnight position (11PM to 7AM) is a vital role that makes a real difference in the lives of the individuals we serve. Responsibilities:

Provide direct care and supervision to individuals during overnight hours (11PM–7AM)

Assist residents with daily living activities including personal hygiene, mobility, and comfort

Monitor and document resident behavior, health status, and any incidents during the shift

Respond promptly and appropriately to emergencies or behavioral situations

Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive living environment for all residents

Communicate effectively with incoming staff during shift transitions and handoffs

Follow individualized care plans and adhere to all agency policies and procedures

Requirements:

High school diploma or GED equivalent required

Previous experience in direct care, residential support, or human services preferred

Ability to work overnight shifts reliably, including weekends and holidays

Strong communication, observation, and documentation skills

Compassionate, patient, and professional demeanor when working with vulnerable populations

Must pass a background check and meet all state licensing requirements

Must pass drug screening

CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
