About the Role:

Gentle Shepherd Care LLC is looking for a compassionate and dedicated Direct Care Worker to join our team in Charlotte, NC. Responsibilities:

Provide hands-on personal care assistance including bathing, grooming, dressing, and hygiene support

Assist clients with mobility, transfers, and ambulation to promote safety and independence

Prepare meals and assist with feeding according to individual dietary needs and care plans

Administer or assist with medication reminders as directed by care plans

Perform light housekeeping, laundry, and errands to maintain a clean and safe living environment

Monitor and document client health, behavior, and daily activities and report changes to supervisors

Provide companionship and emotional support to clients and their families

Requirements:

High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred

Prior experience in direct care, personal care, or a caregiving role is a plus

CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)

Ability to pass a background check and drug screening

Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient, empathetic demeanor

Reliable transportation and ability to maintain a consistent schedule

Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
