Direct Support Professional (DSP)

Position Overview
Amanicare Services Inc is seeking compassionate, reliable, and motivated Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to support individuals with developmental disabilities in a group home setting. DSPs play a critical role in helping individuals live safely, independently, and with dignity while promoting choice, respect, and community inclusion.
Key Responsibilities
Assist individuals with daily living activities (personal care, hygiene, meal preparation, housekeeping)
Support individuals in community activities, appointments, and recreational outings
Follow Individual Service Plans (ISP) and positive support strategies
Administer or assist with medications as trained and authorized
Monitor health, safety, and emotional well-being of individuals
Document daily activities, progress notes, and incident reports accurately
Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive living environment
Communicate effectively with supervisors, team members, and families
Uphold all Minnesota 245D regulations and company policies
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required
Ability to pass background check and DHS requirements
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (preferred)
CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
Prior DSP or caregiving experience preferred, but training is provided
Strong communication, patience, and teamwork skills
Ability to work independently and responsibly
