AHRC NYC is holding a HIRING EVENT with ON THE SPOT JOB OFFERS! for Full-Time Direct Support Professionals (DSP) for their Brooklyn residences.

_ DATE & TIME_: TUESDAY May 13th from 10AM-1PM

_ LOCATION_ : Recruiter will provide specific address for qualified candidates.

_ POSITIONS TO BE FILLED:_

40HR Evening shift: 3pm-11pm...Drivers license Required

40HR Day Shift: 7am-3pm.....Drivers license Required.

Weekend availability needed for all positions!

** PAY RATE :** $17 hire-in rate....i ncreased to $18 per hour after 6 months if in good standing. $22 per hour..... if qualified and selected for our Midwood residence (a challenging behavioral residence)

• The oversight of all safety and health considerations
• Promoting skill development, interests, and hobbies
• Assisting with Adult Daily Living skills (ADLs)
• Other personalized responsibilities including cooking, cleaning, hygiene, etc.

Qualifications

• Personal or Professional experience supporting People with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) preferred.
• Professionalism; integrity; excellent communication skills. Patience is a MUST!
• Willingness to support people's preferences for community, activities, work, leisure activities, the exercise of their rights etc. in various settings.
• Ability to use a computer for data entry.
• High school education/GED, highly preferred.
