Job Summary
We are seeking compassionate and reliable Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a residential group home setting. DSPs play a critical role in promoting independence, dignity, and quality of life while ensuring health and safety.
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct care and supervision to individuals in a group home and/or 1:1 setting
Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), including personal hygiene, dressing, and meal preparation
Support individuals with community outings, appointments, and recreational activities
Implement Individual Support Plans (ISP) and behavior support strategies
Provide 1:1 supervision and redirection when required to ensure safety and emotional regulation
Administer or assist with medications per physician orders and agency policy
Accurately document daily notes, incident reports, and progress notes
Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive home environment
Communicate effectively with supervisors, team members, and families
Respond appropriately to behavioral challenges using approved techniques
Physical & Job Requirements
Ability to stand, walk, and assist individuals as needed
Ability to remain alert during shifts, including overnight shifts if applicable
Ability to manage behaviors calmly and professionally
