About the Role:

Family Partners of Minnesota is looking for a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional to join their team in Rochester, MN. Responsibilities:

Provide direct care and daily living support to individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities

Assist clients with personal hygiene, meal preparation, and household tasks

Support individuals in community integration and social activities

Implement individualized support plans (ISPs) and document progress accurately

Administer medications and monitor health needs as directed

Foster independence and self-advocacy skills in the individuals you support

Communicate effectively with supervisors, families, and care team members

Requirements:

High school diploma or GED required

Previous experience in direct care, DSP, or human services preferred

Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Ability to pass a background check

Strong communication, patience, and problem-solving skills

Willingness to obtain required certifications such as CPR/First Aid and medication administration

Genuine passion for supporting individuals with disabilities
