About the Role:

Global Health Services Corporation is looking for a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional (DSP) to join our Home Care Support team in Alexandria, VA. Responsibilities:

Provide direct care and daily living support to individuals with disabilities or special needs in a home setting

Assist clients with personal hygiene, grooming, bathing, and other activities of daily living (ADLs)

Support clients with meal preparation, feeding, and nutritional monitoring

Implement individualized support plans (ISPs) and document progress accurately

Administer medications and monitor health conditions as directed

Facilitate community integration, social activities, and skill-building opportunities

Communicate effectively with supervisors, family members, and healthcare professionals regarding client well-being

Requirements:

High school diploma or GED equivalent required

Prior experience in home care, direct support, or a related caregiving role preferred

CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)

Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred

Ability to pass a background check and drug screening

Strong interpersonal skills with a patient, empathetic, and client-centered approach

Ability to follow care plans, document services, and communicate effectively with a care team
