Direct Support Professional (DSP) – IHCS & Companion Services 📍 Bath, PA 18014 (near Allentown, PA)

About the role Gifted Potentials LLC is looking for a reliable, compassionate Direct Support Professional to provide in-home and community-based support to an individual in the Bath, PA area. This is a great opportunity for someone in or near the Lehigh Valley who wants steady, meaningful work helping someone build independence.

Schedule & Pay

Starting pay: $22/hour

Phase 1 (9/6 – 9/21): In-Home and Community Support (IHCS), 30 hours/week, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Phase 2 (9/21 – 6/30): Companion Services, 17 hours/week, split across 2 days per week

What you'll do

Support the individual with maintaining employment, including job coaching and workplace follow-along

Assist with meal preparation and cooking skills

Support community involvement and self-advocacy

Provide safe, dependable transportation and companionship during scheduled hours

Document services provided in accordance with ODP requirements

What we're looking for

Reliable transportation to Bath, PA

Experience as a DSP, caregiver, or in a related support role preferred

Ability to pass required background checks and clearances (PA Child Abuse, State Police, FBI)

Patient, dependable, and comfortable working independently in a client's home and community

Strong communication skills for coordinating with supervisors and the support team

Location note Bath, PA is a bit outside the city — candidates commuting from Allentown, Bethlehem, Nazareth, or nearby Northampton County towns are encouraged to apply.
