About the Role:
Pinnacle Support Services LLC is looking for a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Specialist (DSP) to join our team in Culver City, CA. Responsibilities:
Provide direct care and daily living support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD)
Assist clients with personal hygiene, meal preparation, medication management, and other activities of daily living (ADLs)
Implement individualized support plans (ISPs) and document progress accurately
Transport and accompany clients to appointments, community outings, and recreational activities
Foster client independence by teaching life skills and encouraging self-advocacy
Communicate effectively with supervisors, families, and care teams regarding client needs and progress
Maintain a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment for all clients
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED required; experience in human services, caregiving, or a related field preferred
Genuine passion for supporting individuals with disabilities and promoting their quality of life
Strong communication, patience, and problem-solving skills
Ability to pass a background check and any required health screenings(TB Test)
Valid California driver's license, car insurance and reliable transportation
CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
Flexible schedule
Mileage reimbursement
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed
Bilingual Spanish (preferred)
