    Pay: $20.03 per hour

    We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Direct Support Professional (DSP II) to provide quality care and support to adults with developmental disabilities in a licensed residential facility.

    Responsibilities

    Provide transportation to medical, dental, recreational, social, educational, and community appointments.

    Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including:

    Bathing

    Dressing

    Grooming and hygiene

    Toileting

    Transferring

    Eating

    Medication assistance (per facility policy)

    Monitor residents' health, behavior, and well-being, and promptly report concerns or changes to the Administrator.

    Promote resident independence, dignity, privacy, personal choice, and Resident Rights.

    Supervise residents and visitors, ensuring safety and adherence to facility policies.

    Respond appropriately to emergencies and resident crises using first aid and facility procedures.

    Report all suspected or witnessed abuse immediately.

    Support residents with cognitive or behavioral challenges using person-centered care techniques.

    Encourage participation in recreational, educational, physical, and social activities.

    Maintain accurate communication with families, healthcare professionals, and the Administrator.

    Complete all required in-service training and continuing education.

    Food Service Duties

    Prepare and serve meals and snacks according to approved menus and special diets.

    Follow safe food handling and sanitation practices.

    Maintain a clean and organized kitchen and dining area.

    Report equipment maintenance needs.

    Housekeeping Duties

    Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary home environment.

    Perform routine cleaning, including bathrooms, floors, dusting, vacuuming, and spot-cleaning carpets.

    Complete resident laundry, including changing bed linens and returning laundry within 24 hours.

    Perform periodic deep cleaning, including windows, carpet extraction, furniture movement, and preparing vacant rooms for new residents.

    Qualifications

    High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

    Minimum 1 year of caregiving experience required.

    Valid California Driver's License required.

    DSP I and DSP II certifications required.

    Ability to lift, transfer, and assist residents safely.

    Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
