Direct Support Professional- Weekend Community Support
Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide one-on-one community support to an individual with developmental disabilities. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys helping others build independence while participating in meaningful community activities.
Responsibilities
Provide person-centered support during community outings.
Assist with communication, social interaction, and daily living skills.
Encourage participation in recreational and community-based activities.
Ensure the individual's health, safety, and well-being at all times.
Transport the individual to and from scheduled community activities as needed.
Complete accurate documentation and progress notes.
Maintain professionalism and effective communication with supervisors and family members.
Qualifications
Experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, or related conditions is preferred.
Valid driver's license, reliable vehicle, and proof of auto insurance.
Ability to pass a criminal background check.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
CPR/First Aid certification is preferred or willingness to obtain.
Dependable, patient, and committed to providing high-quality support.
Schedule
Saturdays only
9:00 AM–3:00 PM
