We are seeking an energetic, compassionate person to support a friendly and outgoing young woman with an intellectual disability as she works toward greater independence. Hours are Tuesdays and Wednesdays 2:30 – 6:30 pm, Thursdays 2:30 – 7:30 pm, every other Saturday 10:30 am – 2:30 pm (flexible). $25 per hour and Mileage reimbursement

Responsibilities include:

Supporting her in making safe and healthy choices, including seizure awareness and response

Modeling and encouraging socially appropriate interactions in the community

Exploring and participating in fun, engaging community activities together

Assisting with building confidence and independence with activities of daily life

Ideal Candidate:

CPR certification (required)

Experience with seizure care (required)

Positive, patient, and outgoing

Enjoys being social and active in the community

Reliable and attentive to health and safety needs

Creative in finding new activities, opportunities to explore, and ways to encourage learning
