    We are a full-service Law firm with over 150 attorneys throughout California. We have a prominent litigation practice, with around half of the firm’s lawyers focusing on the area. The firm’s litigators handle disputes relating to business and corporate, employment, intellectual property, real estate, and more—and the firm is home to experienced trial lawyers. On the transactional side, We represents a range of clients, including investors, startups, large and small companies, and nonprofits. The firm has a dedicated Tax Group but also takes a cross-practice approach through which tax lawyers help clients across the firm’s practices. Another area of note for the firm is its Real Estate practice—the firm’s real estate attorneys have had an impact throughout California, assisting with transactions, financings, and more.

    Summary:

    We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Litigation Legal Assistant with transactional experience. In this role, you will provide administrative and legal support to a fast-paced practice, with the ability to handle multiple priorities.

    The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 5 years of experience as a litigation and transaction assistant/secretary and possess current and extensive knowledge of both federal and state court rules. Experience with state and federal e-filing is required, and previous experience in unlawful detainer litigation and familiarity with real estate transactions and documents is highly desired.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Provide exceptional client service through in-person, email, and phone interactions.
    • Maintain strict confidentiality of attorney-client relationships.
    • Communicate effectively and diplomatically with attorneys, secretaries, firm management, and legal staff.
    • Adapt quickly to changes in priorities and remain flexible.
    • Organize and manage competing priorities efficiently.
    • Learn new skills and software as required.
    • Collaborate with peers and offer assistance when needed.
    • Demonstrate behavior aligned with the firm's culture and values.
    • Participate in training and development opportunities within the firm.

    Skills & Abilities:

    • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a litigation and transaction assistant/secretary.
    • Current and extensive knowledge of both federal and state court rules.
    • Experience with state and federal e-filing.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Experience with formatting, redlining, and comparing documents.
    • Familiarity with Worldox or a similar document management system.
    • Ability to provide support to a minimum of three attorneys.
