    Los Angeles Accounting office is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join the accounting department. We are seeking an accountant with high volume accounting experience. Must be proficient with General Ledger and Bank Reconciliations on Excel.

     

    This position requires the accountant to work out of the West LA office. NO REMOTE WORK.


    Skills Required:

    • Working knowledge of various accounting software applications.
    • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office software, with an emphasis on Excel.
    • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a high-energy environment.
    • Possess excellent attention to detail and an ability to produce high-quality, accurate work within designated deadlines.
    • Display strong interpersonal skills and the ability to create and maintain solid working relationships at all levels across the organization and externally.
    • Ability to maintain confidential and/or proprietary information.
    • Ability and internal drive to demonstrate a winning attitude and a strong work ethic in the performance of all job responsibilities.


    Job Function (duties and responsibilities):

    • Perform daily cash recordkeeping duties to include but not be limited to, coordinating the transfer of cash records and other treasury activity to accounting for booking and monitoring available cash balances on a daily basis.
    • Perform reconciliations of treasury activity in the general ledger.
    • Prepare wire transfers for entry, print checks and upload records to the bank, and prepare and document check deposits.
    • Download bank statements and assist Accounting Manager with bank reconciliations for all accounts.
    • Assist with various debt compliance activities.
    • Assist with debt recordkeeping, perform interest calculations, and verify third party interest and fee invoices.
    • Perform month-end close and year-end close procedures and meet deadlines.
    • Contribute to the budget, forecast, and audit processes.
    • Perform various other tasks as may be assigned from time to time by the Business Systems Analyst and/or Senior Vice President, Chief Financial Officer, and Treasurer.

     

    Must have 5 plus years of Accounting Experience.

    This position reports to the Controller and Board.
