The Payroll Specialist will prepare and process payrolls for the US. Responsible for the accurate preparation, documentation, and distribution of payroll via the payroll system. Reviews the computation of pay and ensures the company payroll policies are in accordance with government regulations. Responds to and resolves any inquiries regarding paychecks.
This position will be located at our Corporate Headquarters in Burbank, CA. We are seeking someone with multi-state payroll.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for processing Semi-Monthly & Bi-Weekly US payroll
- Responsible for the accurate preparation, documentation, and distribution of payroll through Dayforce
- Review the computation of pay and ensures the company payroll policies are in accordance with the government regulations
- Respond to and resolves any inquiries regarding paychecks
- Ensure all payroll and accounting deadlines are adhered to
- Report and reconcile workers compensation and other various state required payments, reporting, and surveys
- Manage confidential and sensitive information with professionalism and ethical standards
- Flexibility to work a flexible schedule to ensure payrolls are completed timely
- Manage and balance quarterly and YTD totals for Year-end tax forms
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of new hires and terminations
- Accounting duties as needed
- Serve as backup to our International Payroll Administrator
Knowledge, Skills, Ability, Education & Experience:- In-depth knowledge of payroll laws and regulations within the US
- In-depth knowledge of Federal, State and Local Taxes
- 2-4 years full-cycle payroll experience
- Experience processing payroll in Ceridian Dayforce Payroll System is considered a plus
