Prestigious international fashion company seeking a Controller. The successful candidate will manage and supervise all general accounting at the company. A CPA is a plus, but not required for this position but is advantageous, as is a combination of public and private accounting experience. Experience working in a Controller capacity within the fashion industry is preferable.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Preparation of financial statements and reports that follow GAAP and corporate governance policies
• Management of cash flow
• Preparation of cash flow forecasts
• Month-end closing and bank reconciliations
• Ensure that all statutory requirements of the company are met including the filing of federal and state income tax returns, state sales and use tax, and employment tax etc.
• Gross profit and expense analysis
• Accounts receivable and payable
• Payroll preparation and administration
• Facilitating and providing support for year-end, interim, and other audit work, as required

Skills & Experience:

• BA/BS in accounting or finance. MBA is a plus
• CPA preferred,
