    Our client, a leading application and big data engineering firm that develops for government institutions needs 6 Full Stack Engineers. You will be working in a highly collaborative team environment with each team focused on areas such as machine learning, big data (petabytes), and other cutting-edge initiatives.

     

    CORE SKILL SET:

    • Proficiency in server-side development using Python, Java, JavaScript, SQL, and HTML/CSS
    • Proficiency in related SW development, collaboration and testing tool suite(s) (IDE, SCM, Automated Test Frameworks)
    • Experience in distributed computing frameworks and application development in one or more modern software stacks and related frameworks, architecture approaches (LAMP, ELK, serverless)
    • Experience with structured relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Hive on Object Storage)
    • Hands-on development experience using Public Cloud IaaS (AWS, Google, Azure)
    • Experience working within a Linux computing environment and use of command line tools including knowledge of shell/Python scripting for automating common tasks
    • Ability to work in a team in an DevOps setting, familiarity with JIRA and clear understanding Agile, CI/CD and related technologies (i.e. Git, Jenkins/Bamboo, Load Testing)

     

    NICE TO HAVES:

    • Knowledge of statistics and Machine Learning technologies on cloud-based platform (Hadoop, Spark, H2O, TensorFlow, Keras)
    • Application development in the context of the big data / analytics space (batch, ETL, data warehousing, SQL on Hadoop / Spark, near real-time streaming, real-time technologies)
    • Evaluate and recommend technology stack that aligns with Illuminates’ technology strategy
    • Desire to work in an environment that fosters continuous learning, experimenting, mentoring, collaborating among peers
    • Learn and put hands on technology across multiple layers of architecture
