We have an immediate search for a Staff Accountant with solid analytical skills for reporting. This position is working with a premiere not-for-profit 501(c)(3) agency. The position would be split between accounting and reporting. It's a great opportunity to work directly with the Finance Manager and director of the organization.
- Perform and/or review monthly analysis and reconciliation of assigned balance sheet accounts
- Ensure that general ledger transactions, accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems remain compliant with appropriate GAAP standards and regulatory requirements
- Track direct and indirect revenue against the budget
- Reveiw Contract Billings and Revenue reports
- Maintain fixed asset schedule including monthly depreciation entry
- Prepare quarterly revenue and expense forecast projections
- Perform technical accounting research as needed to ensure compliance with GAAP
- Assist with annual budget and planning process
- Provide accurate guidance and training to staff
The Senior Accountant / job requires:
- Bachelor's degree required with a minimum two years of public accounting experience
- CPA is a big plus but nor requiered, will consider directly from public with not-for-profit or government contracting experience
- In depth understanding of GAAP
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills to include; vlookup, sumif, sum product, and merging functions
