    Senior Accountant/Accounting Manger

    We are hiring immediately.  Los Angeles Based Non Profit School is looking for an Senior Accountant- Accounting Manager be responsible for day-to-day general accounting and finance reporting activities within the school and over the billing operations the school. This includes the production of periodic financial reports, managing accounting processes, and systems, maintaining controls designed to mitigate risk are in place, enhancing financial reporting standards.

    Areas of responsibility include:

    • Work closely with the management team; present financial results, forecasts and cash flow analysis to executives and the board of directors.
    • Oversee all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems ensuring compliance
    • Maintain internal controls and safeguards for receipt of revenue
    • Coordinate and support annual school audit activity
    • Analyze financial data and present financial reports in an accurate and timely manner; clearly and communicate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
    • Manage accounting/finance staff while leveraging strengths of the current finance team members, help to clarify roles and responsibilities and develop and implement training program to optimize individual performance.
    • Provide leadership in strengthening internal communications with staff at all levels throughout the organization; create and promote a positive and supportive work environment.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance or related discipline; CPA preferred
    • Minimum 6+ years of experience in a senior accounting or financial management role
    • Solid experience coordinating audit activities and managing reporting, budget development and analysis, accounts payable and receivable, general ledger and payroll
    • Ability to work closely with senior management team
