TITLE: SCRUM MASTER - SHOPIFY

TYPE: CONTRACT (4+ MONTHS)

LOCATION: 100% REMOTE – PST hours and occasional collaboration with offshore teams

PAY: $65 - $85/HR

JOB SUMMARY

The Scrum Master, in addition to facilitating and supporting all Scrum ceremonies together with the offshore QA teams, will also help develop a clear understanding of functional requirements and technical solutions for their Shopify product releases. They will support IT leads, business analysts, and product managers in guiding Development and QA teams.

• Leads Scrum Team and ceremonies using Agile best practices and principles for delivering quality products and services.

• Develops team to high performing levels by optimizing development techniques and processes.

• Ensures team adheres to the project standards and guidelines.

• Works closely with cross functional members to transfer functional requirements into Jira tasks with clear requirements and acceptance criteria for Developers.

• Identifies bottlenecks, impediments, and gaps and works with IT leads and BAs to resolve issues.

REQUIREMENTS

• 5+ years of direct Agile/Scrum Master experience (not BA/PM) focused on enterprise projects ideally in e-commerce Environments
• 3+ years supporting/leading projects geared towards eComm Shopify platform
• Knowledge of Agile/Scrum as well as in-depth knowledge of traditional project management principles and practices
• Advanced knowledge of tools like Jira, Confluence, Teams, SharePoint, Excel
• Adept at refinement, story splitting, estimation, velocity, retrospection, and other Scrum techniques
• Strong writing skills of requirements and technical documentation
• Experience delivering user-facing applications is a plus
• Willing to work flexible hours for collaboration with the off-shore team

EXPERIENCE

• BS Computer Science/Systems Design or 7+ years of relevant work experience
• Agile/Scrum Certifications are a plus BS Computer Science/Systems Design or 7+ years of relevant work experience
