About the Role:

UNDERWAY FIBERAXIS LLC is looking for a motivated Directional Drilling Laborer to join our growing team in Arcanum, OH. This is a hands-on, field-based role where you'll play a vital part in underground infrastructure projects that connect communities. Be willing to relocated if needed for operations, could potentially involve moving states and towns.

Responsibilities:

Assist with horizontal directional drilling (HDD) operations on underground utility and fiber installation projects

Support drill operators with equipment setup, breakdown, and daily maintenance

Handle and prepare drilling materials, including drill pipe, boring tools, and conduit

Operate hand tools and light equipment to support excavation and site preparation

Maintain a clean and safe job site in compliance with safety regulations and protocols

Assist with locating and marking underground utilities prior to drilling

Communicate effectively with crew members and supervisors to ensure efficient workflow

Requirements:

Prior experience in directional drilling, underground utilities, or construction is a plus

Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting, digging, and standing for extended periods

Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions

Valid driver's license with a reliable means of transportation

Strong work ethic, punctuality, and a team-first attitude

Ability to follow safety guidelines and OSHA standards on job sites

Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening
