    Supports the enrollment, retention, persistence, and completion goals of the seminary by maintaining the integrity of the admissions process and facilitating engagement and support of prospective students. Directs the seminary’s Financial Aid services, collaborating with the Associate Dean for Enrollment and Student Support and the Advancement Team regarding need-based and merit-based scholarships and with outside service providers and the Registrar regarding federal student loans, and ensuring compliance with federal student aid requirements and regulations.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    · Collaborates with Admissions Team and the Associate Dean for Enrollment and Student Support to achieve recruiting and enrollment targets outlined in the Strategic Plan and the Strategic Enrollment Management Plan.

    · Develops and implements opportunities to engage prospective students in the admissions process, including expanding prospective student understandings of degree programs, advising prospective students regarding application steps and requirements, and clarifying alignment of degree programs with vocational goals in collaboration with the Director of Academic and Vocational Discernment.

    · Demonstrates and shares a thorough knowledge of Eden’s mission and programs.

    · Receives and verifies admissions applications, conducts admissions interviews, reviews applications for accuracy and completeness, and forwards to the Admissions Committee of the Faculty with recommendation for or against admissibility according to current admissions policies.

    · Prepares admission letters and packages.

    · Contributes to strategies that sustain relationships with individuals admitted for study through their initial enrollment in a degree program, into their first year of studies, and through their completion or graduation.

    · Contributes to cultivating networks of relationships that support recruitment strategies, including denominations and non-profit organizations, judicatories, congregations, alumni/ae and friends of Eden, etc.

    · Collaborates with Registrar to maintain records and provide reporting as required by accrediting bodies.

    · Collaborates with Advancement, Communications, and Marketing colleagues in visioning, creating and implementing print and digital materials for marketing, communication and recruitment.

    · Advises students on available financial assistance programs and processes, including federal financial aid, scholarship programs offered by the seminary, and external grant and scholarship resources.

    · Maintains a list of known available internal and external scholarships and grants.

    · Prepares financial aid awards and packages for accepted students.

    · Maintains records and reporting required by accrediting bodies and funding sources, including the U.S. federal government.

    · Attends and contributes to Faculty Committee meetings as assigned or requested.

    · Other duties as assigned.

    MINIMUM QUALIFIATIONS

    · Bachelor’s degree (Master’s degree preferred) plus a minimum of two years of relevant experience, or a combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills are acquired.

    · Professional demeanor with excellent oral, written, interpersonal and presentation skills.

    · Exceptional time management and organizational skills, ability to multi-task.

    · Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences and stakeholders

    · Ability to be flexible and adaptable.

    · Ability to work independently or as part of a team to meet deadlines and achieve project goals

    · Strong skills with multiple technical applications including word processing, database management, spreadsheets, graphics and presentation software, electronic calendar, email, and other applications and efficient use of Internet and Zoom.

    · Ability to exercise a high level of judgment, discretion and confidentiality.

    · Commitment to forwarding the mission, vision, and values of the seminary.
