    ROLE DESCRIPTION

    We are seeking a Director of Benefits responsible for developing and recommending the strategic direction for the various retirement plans and employee health and wellness programmes in Canada, the US, and LATAM.

    • Collaborate with the globally distributed team to develop and implement strategy for employee benefit and wellbeing plans and programmes, including: medical/dental insurance, Flexible Spending Accounts, Life & disability insurance, voluntary benefits, disability insurance specifically across Canada, the US and LATAM.

    • Responsible for the overall financial well-being and operation of the U.S. defined contribution and defined benefits programmes, non-qualified retirement plans, including leading all aspects of the US investment committee. Responsibilities will also include oversight of country-specific retirement plans across Canada and LATAM.

    • Continually assess employment benefit plans, staying abreast of industry trends, and working with outside consultants to ensure that the benefits package remains competitive, cost efficient, and relevant to employees in each country in which Kantar operates in the Americas region.

    • Supporting wellbeing activities globally and rolling out relevant programmes within the Americas markets.

    • Leading vendor selection and vendor relationships including global broker relationships

    • Responsible for leading all aspects of annual government filings and other compliance and disclosure reporting, including audit work, inclusivity testing, retirement valuations and required participant communications.

    • Driving process, communication and education improvements, efficiencies and engagement

    • Provide guidance to HR and management regarding employee benefit plans, communicate plan coverage, and assist HR with resolving complex claims.

    • Collaborating with global Reward colleagues, HR, Finance and procurement teams

    • Providing advice solutions to retirement queries and retirement consultative advice; staying on top of technical and legislative developments within the retirement and benefits industry.

    ROLE REQUIREMENTS

    To succeed you will need:

    • Experience in the benefits function within a complex organisation across the US with wider Canadian and LATAM experience desirable

    • Deep knowledge of applicable benefits related regulations, such as ACA, FMLA, PFL, ERISA, HIPAA, disability, COBRA, etc.

    • Excellent written and verbal communications skills; ability to explain plan details in a clear, easy to understand manner.

    • Ability to build strong relationships with internal global teams, external carriers and consultants.

    • Ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively, within a distributed team environment including offshore located administration teams.

    • Be highly detail oriented

    • Strategic problem solver with exceptional analytical capabilities to spot issues

    • Will achieve goals by collaborating with various teams, be able to work in a consensus building environment, and maintain highly confidential information.

    • Experience conducting RFPs, project management for plan implementations, negotiating, contracting and managing vendors

    • Bilingual in Spanish a plus!

    The salary range for this role in New York is $117,800 – $196,300. Your final base salary will be determined based on several factors which may include but are not limited to location, work experience, skills, knowledge, education and/or certifications.
