Requirements: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (eight years) work experience. In addition to education or education equivalent, 7-10 years of progressive experience in marketing and brand strategy with experience in multi-media content development or related fields. Experience in omnichannel environments (digital, social, video, and traditional media) with a strong track record in managing external agencies or creative partners required. Proven experience developing and executing successful national marketing campaigns, promotions, and partnerships. Expertise in audience segmentation, brand positioning, and tracking studies with a demonstrated ability to generate actionable insights. Ability to integrate creative strategy with performance metrics in partnership with analytics and media teams.

Estimated hiring range: $128,500 - $146,400
The Job
Reporting to the Vice President of Brand and Communications, the Director, Brand Strategy & Content will be experienced in classic brand strategy including brand positioning/repositioning, innovation strategy, category vision and brand architecture as well as insight-based portfolio strategy. But beyond this, you’ll have a passion for consumers/donors and be excited to deliver clear, cohesive, and distinctive brand experiences with high-impact engagement across donor journey stages and audiences ensuring brand clarity, emotional resonance, and storytelling that inspires action and positions World Vision as the global leader in eliminating extreme poverty for children.
Working closely with creatives, content producers and key partners across Brand and Communications, PSPM, TE, and other functional teams, you will provide strategic counsel for functional content plans.
This role will also drive the development of the master brand campaign creative and launch plan. An exceptional content strategist, you will lead and create content strategies and activations across channels and formats to achieve marketing and communication objectives.

Lead the development of Brand strategy, positioning and architecture to grow brand distinctively, relevance, awareness, and familiarity.
Lead a high performing team of Account Strategists, Communication Planners and Brand Reviewer/Trainer, and collaborates with the Sr. Creative Director and MKT Leaders across the organization to help deliver best-in-class creative and content that is holistic, distinctive, relevant, and compelling across channels and formats to deliver MKT objectives.
Develop and socialize Brand Strategy to colleagues in B&C, MKT and other Divisions.
Serve on the B&C Leadership team and act as a strategic partner to the Creative Agency, Public Engagement, Digital, and key clients.
Provide thought partnership to MKT peers and multifunctional business partners to ensure brand consistency in effectively telling the WV story.
Lead strategic direction and planning for master brand campaign launch working closely with VP.
Oversee the development of creative design briefs for top strategic initiatives with Account Strategists to ensure clear direction for creative team.
Lead team to develop ideas for new content activations and new channels based on a deep understanding of trends, audience insights and the external environment.
Collaborate closely with other functional teams to develop, map and optimize content strategies for each audience leveraging measurement and analytics to test and learn and ultimately improve efforts.
Provide input and recommendations on paid media strategy, including audience targeting, channels, and formats, working in partnership with media team and agencies to ensure advertising efforts are strategic and achieve goals.
You Bring These Skills
7-10 years of progressive experience in marketing and brand strategy with experience in multi-media content development or related fields.
Experience in omnichannel environments (digital, social, video, and traditional media) with a strong track record in managing external agencies or creative partners.
Proven experience developing and executing successful national marketing campaigns, promotions, and partnerships.
Expertise in audience segmentation, brand positioning, and tracking studies with a demonstrated ability to generate actionable insights.
Ability to integrate creative strategy with performance metrics in partnership with analytics and media teams.
Excellent creative judgment and strategic thinking skills.
Strong cross-functional collaborator, able to work across teams and influence outcomes.

WVUS Pay Grade Level : 229
Expected hiring range is $128,500- $146,400.
The posted hiring salary range reflects pay for U.S. locations and is determined using market data and internal compensation guidelines. Actual compensation may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic location, job-related experience, and applicable laws. A different range may apply in certain locations.
