    The Opportunity

    Join Adobe’s Employee Experience team as a Director, Compensation Business Partnering supporting our Digital Enterprise organization. This role is a strategic leadership position focused on enabling business success through thoughtful compensation design, governance, and execution. In addition to leading other compensation partners, you will partner closely with HR Business Partners, Talent Acquisition, and Senior Leaders to ensure our compensation programs are equitable, competitive, and aligned with Adobe’s evolving business needs.

    The ideal candidate will build effective, trusting business relationships and partnerships across the organization to support the implementation of plans supporting the company's strategic business direction and in alignment with Adobe's core values. You will influence the strategic direction, improve alignment and efficiency of implementation, and foster a culture of feedback and ongoing improvement.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Serve as the primary compensation advisor for Sales and Engineering HRBPs and business leaders necessitating demonstrated excellence in business partnering skills and leadership background
    • Align compensation strategies with Adobe’s performance philosophy and talent priorities.
    • Shape long-term strategy by anticipating market shifts and influencing compensation design accordingly.
    • Drive alignment, decision-making, and speed of execution to own outcomes across the business unit.
    • Design and implement compensation programs tailored to Sales and Engineering, including base pay, incentive plans, and equity.
    • Partner with other COEs to drive cross-functional initiatives such as job architecture modernization and pay transparency compliance.
    • Provide data-driven insights and modeling to support compensation decisions.
    • Monitor market trends and internal benchmarks to inform program evolution and competitiveness.
    • People Leadership: Encourage and mentor teams, set accountable goals, and model Adobe’s values in all communications.
    • Drive the completion of central initiatives to enhance compensation programs across various locations and departments.
    • Develop a culture that nurtures learning, feedback, and inclusivity. Champion diverse viewpoints and ongoing improvement.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in human resources, Finance, Economics, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
    • 12+ years of progressive experience in global compensation, including business partnering roles.
    • Executive level Partner experience, partnering directly with senior leaders.
    • Profound knowledge of Sales and Engineering compensation frameworks, encompassing bonus and commission setups.
    • Experience with job architecture, market pricing, and equity strategy.
    • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in compensation tools (e.g., Workday).
    • Demonstrated ability to remain flexible and agile in an ever-changing environment. Ability to handle ambiguity with ease.
    • Proven proficiency in nurturing partnerships and connections (internally and externally) at every organizational level, displaying strong leadership and persuasion capabilities, and spearheading management ventures.
    • Strong analytical abilities to dissect complex issues into more manageable components.
    • Proven attention to detail and the ability to effectively manage multiple tasks is essential, along with the ability to solve problems when necessary.
    • Outstanding verbal communication and presentation skills.

    Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this positionis $162,200 -- $297,700 annually. Paywithin this range varies by work locationand may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills,and experience. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process.

    At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).

    In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
