We're searching for a director of sales who is motivated to help our busy hotel meet its sales targets. You will be in charge of developing our sales strategy and revenue objectives, training and assessing our sales employees, and ensuring that we create new and recurring business across various hotel sectors. Responsibilities: • Establish strategies to assist the sales team in meeting and exceeding monthly room booking goals that are aligned with overall hotel and revenue management objectives • Formulate sales strategies that sustain high levels of occupancy and profitability in collaboration with department managers and their goals • Generate new revenue by using a targeted outbound sales strategy that includes personal calls in your network, phone solicitation to local professionals, travel agencies, and other groups or corporations • Deliver previous and upcoming week's sales activity reports, as well as monthly sales expense reports, and meet with department managers to keep them up to date on all hotel sales-related expenses • Analyze market data and use it to develop methods for meeting financial targets, designing marketing plan deliverables, and developing an annual sales forecast Qualifications: • Must be able to use basic computer software including Microsoft Office • Displays a proven track record of sales success by lead-generation and closing • Strong analytical skills, communication skills, and leadership skills • High school diploma or equivalent (GED) and a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field required • 5+ years of experience in sales, preferably in the hospitality field, is required Compensation: $70,000 - $80,000
