Do you thrive in building something from the ground up? Are you energized by relationships, creativity, and turning ideas into measurable results? We are seeking a forward-thinking Director of Sales to lead all sales efforts for our newly opened hotel. This is a highly visible, hands-on role for a self-starter with a strong network and a non-traditional mindset. With no limited event space and a boutique F&B concept launching, success in this role will come from creative partnerships, local market relationships, and innovative revenue opportunities rather than conventional group sales alone. As the sole sales leader for the property, you will work collaboratively with Revenue Management and Marketing to create and execute strategies that drive transient, corporate, and experiential business while positioning the hotel as a compelling destination in the market. If you’re excited by the challenge of building a sales program from scratch, thinking beyond the traditional group box, and seeing the direct impact of your efforts, we’d love to hear from you. This position features a base salary + commission structure. Responsibilities: • Deliver previous and upcoming week's sales activity reports, as well as monthly sales expense reports, and meet with department managers to keep them up to date on all hotel sales-related expenses • Boost revenue and increase new guest visits through strategic outbound sales efforts that may include phone solicitation to local professionals, corporations, and members of your personal network • Design a strategy to meet hotel financial goals, create marketing deliverables, and develop an annual sales forecast by analyzing market data • Develop and implement sales strategies that maintain high levels of occupancy and profitability through coordination with department managers • Establish strategies to assist the sales team in meeting and exceeding monthly room booking goals that are aligned with overall hotel and revenue management objectives • Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy tailored to a new hotel with limited traditional group offerings • Leverage an established Rolodex of local, regional, and industry contacts to generate immediate and long-term demand • Identify and cultivate non-traditional revenue streams, including creative partnerships, corporate accounts, local businesses, and experiential programming • Actively prospect, negotiate, and close business across transient, negotiated corporate, and alternative group segments • Collaborate closely with Revenue Management to align sales strategies with pricing, demand, and market conditions • Partner with Marketing to shape the hotel’s positioning, storytelling, and go-to-market initiatives • Serve as a brand ambassador in the community, building strong relationships that drive repeat and referral business Qualifications: • Prior experience in the hospitality field is a plus • High school diploma or equivalent (GED) and a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field required • Strong analytical skills, communication skills, and leadership skills • Knowledge of computer-based software such as Microsoft Word and Excel • 5+ years of hotel or lifestyle hospitality sales experience, ideally with new openings or independent properties • Proven ability to drive revenue without reliance on traditional group or meeting space • Strong existing network and demonstrated success in relationship-driven sales • Highly creative, strategic thinker who thrives in an unstructured business-minded environment • Self-motivated, organized, and comfortable owning the entire sales function end-to-end Compensation: $70,000
