HCT seeks an experienced nurse professional to serve as the Interim Director of Quality & Safety for a 250+ bed hospital in California. Responsibilities include:
- Providing leadership and strategic direction for Quality, Performance Improvement, and Patient Safety programs, ensuring compliance with regulatory/accrediting requirements and alignment with organizational goals across medical staff, nursing, and support services.
- Partnering with medical staff and organizational leaders to assess, monitor, and continuously improve the quality and safety of care, utilizing performance data and evidence-based practices to drive measurable outcomes.
- Leading organization-wide quality and safety initiatives and strategic improvement efforts, promoting excellence across key domains including safety, effectiveness, efficiency, patient-centeredness, equity, and timeliness of care.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelors Degree in Nursing required, Master Degree preferred.
- Experience: Five (5) years’ experience in quality in an acute care setting with progressive leadership responsibility in healthcare quality/performance improvement; thorough understanding of Joint Commission standards, state and federal standards, value-based purchasing initiatives, readmission reduction and hospital acquired conditions programs, core measures and HCAHPS.
- License: CA RN license required
- EMR: Epic experience required
