Jackson Hewitt is looking for a dynamic professional with the unique ability to be strategic while also demonstrating a strong aptitude for hands-on execution and frontline operations. This is an exciting opportunity to stand up a new growth opportunity across our US retail channel in a leadership role actively engaged in the tactics to win.
Director of Small Business Bookkeeping Growth & Development, manages the daily execution of the business development strategy, plans, and processes to drive sales, increase revenue, expand market share, and accomplish financial objectives. This position will play a key role in defining the strategy of a new business opportunity aimed at expanding the client lifetime value with Jackson Hewitt. You will be responsible for leading and collaborating with Franchise and Company Owned commercial operations to expand the suite of services across the network.
This hybrid position is based in our Sarasota, Florida corporate office and has required in-office days of Tuesday – Thursday with flexibility for remote days on Monday and Friday.
What you will do here:
Leverage client data and insights to define the client profile, identify potential clients, and develop strategies for targeting them (including creating sales plans, setting targets, and managing the sales process).
Partner with FZ/COO commercial operators, marketing, and product development teams to align efforts.
Identifies targets and establishes metrics to evaluate the attainment of goals. Ensures project milestones and goals are achieved within budget.
Guides commercial teams in implementing best practices and employing effective strategies for client engagement, outreach expansion, and service delivery.
Establish and nurture strong client relationships. Present the bookkeeping value proposition and customize solutions to meet client needs (e.g., COO service delivery).
Creates and utilizes connections and relationships within the bookkeeping industry, business environment, and client base to comprehend and address changes in competition, pricing, and product demand.
Engage in collaborative business meetings to update key stakeholders.
Skills you will bring for success:
Bachelor’s degree in business or related discipline or experience.
7+ years of experience in retail business growth and/or expansion (promoting and upselling a company’s products or services).
A proven track record of leading retail organization growth focused on new business, new concepts and program piloting, evaluation, and implementation required.
Exemplary project management skills required.
Strategic thinker with operational know-how and executional excellence.
Strong change management skills
Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills required.
Excellent presentation skills: Ability to effectively present the company's value proposition to Commercial operations and/or potential clients.
Sales experience: A proven track record of successfully generating leads and closing deals is highly valued.
Business acumen: Understanding of business principles, market trends, and competitive landscape.
Analytical: Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and develop effective strategies.
Relationship-building: Ability to build rapport with clients and foster long-term partnerships across Commercial operations.
Self-motivated and results-driven: Ability to work independently and achieve goals.
