    Position Summary

    The Director Admissions and Recruitment provides strategic leadership for all recruitment, admissions, and enrollment functions at the Seminary. This role oversees the full enrollment lifecycle—from prospect identification and outreach through application processing, matriculation, and transition to student services.

    The Director serves as a primary ambassador for the Seminary, leading recruitment strategy, managing admissions operations, supervising staff, and ensuring that enrollment efforts align with the Seminary’s mission, academic priorities, and long-term goals.

    Approximately 65% of the Director’s work focuses on recruitment and outreach, while 35% focuses on admissions processing, enrollment management, data entry and reporting, strategy development, collaboration, and participation in meetings.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    Strategic Leadership & Planning

    Develop, implement, and refine comprehensive recruitment and enrollment strategies aligned with institutional mission and goals.

    Collaborate with Seminary leadership to ensure enrollment planning supports academic, financial, and strategic priorities.

    Analyze enrollment trends, demographic shifts, and market data to guide decision-making and proactively adjust recruitment strategies.

    Recruitment & Outreach (65% of Work)

    Represent the Seminary at denominational events, church gatherings, conferences, HBCUs, community programs, and recruitment fairs.

    Build and maintain relationships with churches, denominational bodies, alumni, community partners, and feeder institutions.

    Plan and execute multi-channel marketing and recruitment campaigns, including print, digital, email, and social media outreach.

    Maintain accurate CRM records of recruitment activities, pipelines, prospective student communications, and engagement metrics.

    Conduct outreach presentations, info sessions, webinars, and discernment conversations with prospective students.

    Strengthen the Seminary’s visibility across regional and national ecumenical networks.

    Admissions Management (35% of Work)

    Oversee timely, accurate, mission-aligned processing and evaluation of applications across all degree programs.

    Use CRM and student information systems to manage applicant data, workflow automation, and communication timelines.

    Serve as a primary point of contact for prospective students, providing guidance from inquiry to admission decision.

    Develop and administer applicant experience surveys to support continuous improvement of admissions processes.

    Ensure consistent application of admissions criteria and compliance with policies and accrediting standards.

    Budget & Resource Management

    Develop and manage the recruitment and admissions operating budget.

    Evaluate the cost-effectiveness of recruitment activities, travel, marketing, and events to maximize return on investment.

    Data Analysis & Reporting

    Collect, analyze, and interpret recruitment, admissions, and enrollment data for decision-making.

    Prepare regular reports for Seminary leadership summarizing trends, outcomes, projections, and recommendations.

    Use data analytics to inform strategic planning, resource allocation, and evaluation of recruitment initiatives.

    Collaboration & Communication

    Work collaboratively with faculty, staff, and administrators to align recruitment and enrollment strategies with academic offerings.

    Serve on institutional committees related to enrollment, diversity, student success, and strategic planning.

    Promote inclusive, equitable, and mission-aligned recruitment practices across all activities.

    Compliance & Best Practices

    Ensure all recruitment, admissions, and enrollment processes adhere to applicable federal/state regulations and accrediting-body standards.

    Stay informed about emerging trends, technologies, and innovations in enrollment management and integrate appropriate best practices.

    Other Duties
