    Director of Adult Services, Adult Autism

    Reliatus Behavioral Health is seeking a highly experienced and dedicated leader to fill the role of Director of Adult Services (DAS) at our facility in Orange Park, FL. The DAS will be responsible for the overall management, administration, and clinical quality of our Adult Residential Programs and Adult Day Training (ADT) services, ensuring the provision of high-quality, person-centered care for adults with developmental disabilities, including Autism.

    Scope of Responsibility

    The Director of Adult Services is a senior leadership position responsible for the comprehensive management, strategic planning, and operational oversight of adult services. This role ensures all programs operate in alignment with the mission of Reliatus Behavioral Health, uphold individual rights, promote community membership, and meet or exceed all regulatory standards.     Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    Program Management & Quality Assurance
    • Oversee the overall management and administration of a cluster of Adult Residential Programs and Adult Day Training (ADT).

    • Lead the planning, budgeting, implementation, and assessment of services to ensure that all individuals' needs are met with high quality.

    • Ensure that all programs practice principles that uphold individual rights and dignity, promote individual control, facilitate community membership and meaningful relationships, and foster personal growth, health, and safety.

    • Ensure all individuals receive professional, individualized services based on periodic needs assessment.

    • Conduct comprehensive program evaluations to measure progress toward goals, individual satisfaction, and changes in the population served.

    • Develop, review, and revise operating policies and procedures on an ongoing basis.

    • Meet or exceed all regulatory requirements, including but not limited to ISP Regulations, APD regulations, DPH, CARF standards, and Department of Labor Wage & Hour Regulations.

    Clinical Oversight and Compliance

    • Work cohesively with the Clinical Department in the oversight of all Individualized Behavior Support Plans and the overall adherence to Positive Behavior Supports across all sites.

    • Ensure that all individuals' health care needs are consistently met, and all medication administration regulations are consistently applied and complied with.

    • Maintain a thorough knowledge and oversight of individuals' financial resources, including government benefits and housing subsidies.

    • Maintain all homes and day programs in a safe, clean, and attractive manner, ensuring all safety plans and policies are implemented and consistently practiced by staff.

    • Continue to provide RBT-related responsibilities and duties as needed for the Florida Division.

    Leadership and Financial Management
    • Provide positive, innovative, and effective leadership and motivation to the department staff.

    • Design and maintain an effective organizational structure, delineating clear lines of authority, responsibility, and communication, and ensuring appropriate staffing levels and qualifications.

    • Provide effective direct supervision and support to all assigned staff and ensure subordinate supervisory staff provide fair and consistent supervision to their teams.

    • Demonstrate a commitment to comprehensive staff training by implementing a variety of ongoing trainings for all levels of staff.

    • Participate as an effective, respectful, and positive member of the Senior Management Team and contribute to the joint efforts and strategic direction of the agency.

    • Participate in the creation of the annual budgets for programs under management and monitor and control revenues/expenses.

    • Maintain positive and effective relations with families, guardians, state agencies, and other entities that purchase our services.

    • Participate in the preparation of well-written proposals and grants and maintain knowledge of state contract procurement regulations.

    Qualifications and Desired Characteristics

    • Education: Master’s Degree in a related field (e.g., Psychology, Social Work, Special Education, Applied Behavior Analysis, or Human Services).

    • Experience: A minimum of five (5) years of full-time Human Service employment, with at least three (3) years of supervisory experience.

    • Specialized Experience: Significant experience overseeing a residential program or a day program for adults with a developmental disability diagnosis, particularly Autism.

    • Certification (Strongly Preferred): Current BCBA certification is strongly preferred. Extensive, verifiable experience in the field may be considered in lieu of BCBA certification.

    Working Relationships

    The Director of Adult Services reports directly to the VP of Residential Services and receives additional supervision, clinical support, and direction from the Vice President of Clinical Services, CEO, and CFO. The DAS supervises assigned personnel and works as a constructive and active team member with all staff and managers to assure the consistent implementation of high-quality client services.
