Director of Billing & Revenue Cycle

We are a rapidly growing healthcare organization seeking an experienced Director of Billing & Revenue Cycle to oversee billing integration for newly acquired Skilled Nursing Facilities. In this high-impact role, you will lead a specialized team through all phases of revenue cycle setup, compliance, and training for Medicare, Medicaid, HMO, and other payer types.
Key Responsibilities
Lead a transition billing team during acquisitions and mergers, ensuring timely and accurate billing.
Research, implement, and train staff on billing regulations across multiple states and payors.
Set up payer trees, revenue codes, CPT codes, modifiers, contracts, and rates in the EMR.
Establish insurance portals, clearinghouses, and billing access for onboarding facilities.
Resolve payer issues, reduce denials/rejections, and manage appeals.
Optimize billing processes for efficiency and compliance.
Advise leadership on staffing, workflows, and operational improvements.
Qualifications
Skilled Nursing Facility billing expertise (Medicare, Medicaid, HMO, etc.).
Proficiency in PointClickCare (PCC), clearinghouses, and healthcare billing systems.
Experience with RUGs, PDPM, and PPS systems.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to work in fast-paced transitions.
Ability to research and implement billing regulations across new healthcare markets.
